For insurance.

Nobody buys insurance twice. They buy it once, and either renew forever or leave. Your marketing decides which.

Insurance is the only product people buy hoping they never use it. Your marketing has to earn trust anyway.

Your buyer, whether an individual shopping personal lines, a small business owner rethinking coverage, or a corporate risk manager evaluating carriers, is making a decision they’ll live with for years. Renewals are automatic. Switching is a pain. The relationship starts on a moment of trust that most agencies never quite earn. We build the sites, content, agent bios, digital acquisition & retention programs that make independent agencies feel human in a category dominated by faceless direct writers.

You compete against the Gecko, the Duck, and the Mayhem Guy. Advertising budgets you'll never match. That's not a fair fight. It's your fight.

The insurance market is split hard. On one side, direct writers (GEICO, Progressive, State Farm, Allstate) spend billions on TV, digital, and mascot budgets to own the personal lines category. On the other side, independent agencies and specialty carriers compete on relationships, coverage expertise, and multi-carrier flexibility. If your marketing tries to compete on the direct writers’ terrain (mass acquisition, brand awareness, price-comparison), you lose the budget war and the brand war. If it competes on your actual advantage (you’re a person, you know the coverage, you’ll be there in a claim), you win the customers who value that.

Most independent agencies have terrible websites and even worse content. They rely on referrals, walk-ins, and legacy books of business. That worked for a generation. It’s evaporating now, as personal lines shift online, small-business owners Google their coverage questions, and the next generation of buyers expects to research and choose their agent without ever meeting them first. The agencies that build a real digital presence, not to compete with GEICO, but to be findable when someone Googles “commercial umbrella policy North Michigan,” capture the buyers direct writers can’t serve.

The compounding play: an independent insurance agency with clear specialization, a website that shows real coverage expertise, content that answers the questions buyers are actually asking, and a retention program built for the renewal cycle stops being a legacy business and starts being a growing one. That’s the version of your agency we help build.

3 things this market demands.

01

Specialization is the only way to beat the direct writers.

GEICO doesn't do farm insurance. Progressive doesn't quote high-net-worth homeowners with $10M coverage needs. State Farm doesn't specialize in cyber liability for CPAs. Every one of these gaps is an independent agency's opening, but only if the agency's marketing declares the specialty. Generic "we do all lines" positioning is invisible on Google, undifferentiated to referral sources, and effectively invites price-shopping. We help agencies pick a specialty (or several) and build the sites, content & case studies that own the search results for those buyers.

02

Renewal is a communications problem, not a policy problem.

The average retention rate for independent P&C agencies is 85%. The great ones are at 95%+. That 10-point gap is worth six figures in book value for even a medium-sized agency. Almost all of the gap is communications: how often clients hear from you between renewals, whether they know what their coverage does and doesn't do, whether they feel like a name in a rolodex or a real relationship. We build retention communications (newsletters, review-cycle touchpoints, coverage-change alerts, life-event triggers) that move the retention needle where it actually matters.

03

Google is the new referral network.

The next generation of insurance buyers doesn't ask their parents' agent. They Google "small business insurance Detroit" or "life insurance for pilots" or "cyber policy for medical practice." If your agency doesn't rank on those pages, you're invisible to every buyer who isn't already in your referral network. We build the local SEO, specialty content, review presence & agent-bio infrastructure that gets independent agencies found in the moments buyers are looking.
