Frequently asked

The questions we hear most.

Twenty-two answers, five categories. If yours isn't here, we'd rather have the conversation than guess at the shape of it.

01

MB overview

What services do you offer? +

Branding, graphic design, digital marketing, social media strategy, web development, content creation & project management. We tailor the stack to what the engagement actually needs, not a preset menu.

What types of businesses do you work with? +

Federal contractors, higher education, nonprofits, membership associations, cyber & IT firms, professional services, health & counseling practices, faith-based organizations, and consumer brands. If you’re serious about the marketing you need & willing to invest in doing it right, we probably speak your language.

What makes your agency different from others? +

We build sites & marketing systems that stand next to the biggest firms in your category without embarrassment. End-to-end, no handoffs to junior teams, no template shortcuts, no cutting corners on the infrastructure underneath the design. Partnerships not projects.

What platforms do you specialize in? +

WordPress is our home base for custom builds. We also work in Squarespace, Shopify, and (for clients who inherit them) Wix and page builders. On the marketing side: Meta, LinkedIn, Google Ads, HubSpot, Mailchimp, and Zapier for pipeline plumbing.

How do you handle confidentiality & security? +

Client information stays in scoped systems. We sign NDAs on request and default to least-privilege access on every tool we touch. If your industry has additional compliance requirements (HIPAA, CJIS, CUI, ITAR), tell us up front & we’ll build the engagement around them.

Do you work with clients outside your region? +

Yes. We’re based in DC & Detroit, and we work with clients across the U.S. and internationally. Video calls, shared workspaces, async handoffs. Same quality, same partnership, wherever you are.

02

Projects, timelines & communication

What is your process for starting a new project? +

Discovery call to understand your goals, audience, current state & constraints. Then a scoped proposal with clear deliverables, timeline, and pricing. Once signed, we kick off with a working session, set milestones, and start shipping.

How long does it take to complete a project? +

Depends on scope. A capabilities statement can turn in a week. A full custom website with brand system runs a longer arc. We give you a realistic timeline in the proposal & don’t inflate to pad the invoice.

How do you handle revisions & feedback? +

Every deliverable includes structured revision rounds at defined checkpoints. Feedback is welcomed at every stage. We track it, incorporate it, and don’t do endless-loop revisions that turn a launch into a year-long process.

How do you manage timelines & deadlines? +

Project timeline gets built at kickoff with clear milestones. We use shared project boards so you always know what’s next, what’s blocked, and what needs your input. Weekly status updates by default; more if the project pace warrants.

Can you work on a rush project or tight deadline? +

Often, yes. We’ve shipped launches in five days when the situation demanded it. Rush pricing applies, and we’re honest about what’s realistic given the scope. Better to defer a week than ship something that embarrasses you.

How will we communicate throughout the project? +

Email for async, Zoom or Google Meet for working sessions, shared docs & boards for artifacts. Response times inside 24 hours during business days. You’ll always have a direct line to your project lead, not a ticket system.

03

Collaboration & training

Can you work with our in-house marketing team? +

Yes. We often fill gaps, bring specialized expertise, or handle the pieces your team doesn’t have bandwidth for. We work seamlessly alongside existing teams without turf wars, and we hand off cleanly when the work is done.

Do you offer training for our team? +

Yes. When we build you a website or launch a marketing system, we train your team on how to run it. Documentation, video walkthroughs, live sessions. The goal is your team owns the momentum after we’re done, not that you stay dependent on us.

04

Investment, reporting & success

What does your pricing structure look like? +

Custom scoped based on the work. After the discovery call we send a detailed proposal with transparent pricing per deliverable. Project-based, retainer, or hourly depending on what fits. No mystery invoices, no surprises.

Do you offer payment plans? +

Yes. Larger engagements are typically split into milestone-based payments (deposit, midpoint, delivery). For ongoing retainers, monthly billing. We work with your budget cycle & tell you what’s possible.

How do you measure success? +

KPIs get set at project start & tied to real business outcomes: pipeline generated, appointments booked, applications submitted, retention lifted, revenue attributable. Vanity metrics like impressions & follower counts are reported, but they don’t drive the strategy.

Do you provide analytics & reporting? +

Yes. Custom dashboards for the metrics that matter to your business. Monthly reports for retainer clients, campaign-end reports for project work. Written in plain English so your board can read them without a translator.

Do you offer ongoing support after a project is complete? +

Yes. Website hosting & maintenance, ongoing social & content management, performance monitoring, monthly optimization. Most clients keep us on retainer after launch because the compounding wins come from the work that happens after go-live, not before.

05

Getting started

How do I get started? +

Fill out the contact form or grab time on our calendar. First conversation is a discovery call, no charge, no pitch. If we’re the right fit for what you need, we’ll follow up with a proposal. If we’re not, we’ll tell you & point you toward someone who is.

Can you help us with just one specific service? +

Yes. Standalone engagements welcome. Need just a website? Just a capabilities statement? Just social management? All fine. We don’t upsell you into a comprehensive plan you didn’t ask for.

What happens if my needs change mid-project? +

Business changes, so scopes change. We adjust in the open: revised scope, revised timeline, revised budget if needed. Better to name a scope shift & re-align than pretend the original plan still holds.
